Secure escrow deals for ship repair
Hold your repair payment safely until the work is accepted. If anything goes wrong, an independent mediator decides — not the yard, and not us.
Request a protected dealNo payment is taken now. This is a pre-request — we set up the deal with you first.
How escrow works
A simple, transparent flow that protects both sides of the deal.
Agree the deal
You and the repair yard agree the scope and price. Escrow is optional — you choose it when you want extra protection on a larger or first-time job.
Fund the escrow
The buyer places the agreed amount into escrow. The money is held by the platform — it is not released to the yard yet.
Work is carried out
The yard performs the repair. Both sides keep a clear, time-stamped record of milestones and delivery on the platform.
Release or resolve
When the work is accepted, funds are released to the yard. If either side raises a claim, the deal is frozen and passed to an independent mediator from the registry.
Why use escrow
For shipowners
Your payment is not lost if the yard fails to deliver. Money moves only when the job is accepted — or when an independent mediator decides.
For repair yards
You know the funds already exist and are ring-fenced before you commit labour and materials. No chasing invoices after the vessel sails.
Neutral by design
We only record the facts of the deal and hold the funds. We do not judge the quality of the work — an independent mediator from the registry makes that call.
MaritimeNG is a neutral platform. We only record the facts of a deal and hold funds in escrow. We do not assess the quality of the work and we do not act as a judge — any dispute is decided by an independent mediator from the registry.
Request a protected deal
Tell us about your repair. We’ll set up the escrow deal with you and the yard — no payment is required to send this request.
